There are four different types of notifications that can be received via the Process Queues feature of the software.
Added to Queue
This notification is enabled through the Notify When Assigned setting, which can be found under Details when editing a Queue.
The notification is sent immediately to the assigned Queue Manager, or if no one is assigned, to all Queue Managers, when someone is added to the Queue. It will include a list of anyone added. It will also not be sent if any due today or near due notifications were sent.
Unassigned
This notification, like the last, requires the Notify When Assigned setting to be enabled. It will be sent to all Queue Managers immediately. If the profile was assigned to a Queue manager and the Queue manager is unassigned, a new notification will be sent. It will include anyone with a status of "not started", "in process", or "waiting", but not someone marked as "done" who had their assigned Queue manager removed.
Assigned or Reassigned
This notification also requires the Notify When Assigned setting enabled. It is sent immediately to a Queue Manager when he or she is assigned to someone who was already in the Queue. It will include anyone with a status of "not started", "in process", or "waiting", but not "done".
Due Soon
Whether the notification is turned on or not, a Queue Manager will also receive an email either the day or a set number of days before someone they've been assigned is due.
It is sent to any Queue Manager who has at least one person due assigned to them, and to all Queue Managers if someone due is unassigned.
The checkboxes for Notify when assigned or added to the Queue unassigned have no influence on the Notice when Due. A Notice when Due is sent regardless of the settings. Now, with that said, if the Number of Days Due is set to zero and Notify when Due is set to zero, then it is due the exact date it is added to the Queue. This means a Notice for the Due Date can't be "Queued up" or sent. Number of days equal zero will result in no notice, but assuming the profile is due today. If you have any other option selected or you use a certain number of days this does trigger and Notice for Due Date. Also, if you edit the individual profile due date this will also cause the Notice to send to Queue managers. For example, it was entered today, with a due date of today. If I edit the Due Date for tomorrow, after midnight (local time) a notice is sent to the Queue manager, you have a Queue due. There is not a way to turn of the notice if using any option except zero days due and not editing the due dates.
